Happy Thanksgiving and Holiday Season to you all!

Yesterday, we had a blast picking and chopping trees with the gang out at the Wolcyn Tree Farm. To those who were near in spirit–we love you and hope the warmth of tradition comforts you this season.

Sleeping through the night November 18, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — colinandmegancox @ 7:55 pm

The entire Cox clan has been catching up on some needed sleep. Colin, Meg, Sophie, Henry…and the other one….Shepard! That’s right, Shepard is back on track with sleeping through the night. Seems the old Snortster has turned the corner with his cold and is not waking himself up in the middle night.

As our good friend Jason DeRusha pointed out on WCCO’s Good Question, it is possible to get some of those missing Zzzzzzzs after the fact.

Shepard’s Baptism November 9, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — colinandmegancox @ 7:19 pm

Saturday afternoon Shepard James was baptized in a private ceremony at our parish, St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Minneapolis.

His God-parents, Wendy and Matt, and our families promised to help raise Shepard to love God and all people. It was a beautiful way to celebrate the sacrament. Shepard’s baptismal gown is an heirloom worn by Meg’s grandfather (and likely great-grandmother), mother, aunts and uncles, brother, cousins and their children. It was especially nice to hold Shep in this treasured fabric–that has touch so many lives, and so much love.hands2

Thanks to all who sent love our way and celebrated the day with us.

God’s peace to you!

Catching Up November 4, 2008

We apologize for the brief hiatus–last week, with Meg back at work and Shep at day care, there was little time for blogging.

This week we’re overjoyed to see the light at the end of campaign season.

We’ve been taking good advantage of the uncommonly warm weather; the Minneapolis lakes have been gorgeous. Shep was a jolly, orange, and, incredibly warm, pumpkin for his first Halloween thanks to Uncle Chuck. We treated around the neighborhood then left candy by the front door and took off to see the cousins (Elle, Ava, Beatrice and Oskar).pa310028

Tonight we’re planning on a late night watching the returns in Minnesota’s critical races: Senate, and Congressional Districts 3 & 6.

Happy voting!
