Shep’s Vital Stats December 31, 2008

Filed under: Uncategorized — colinandmegancox @ 3:46 pm

This morning, while it was -8 degrees, the Cox family bundled up for Shep’s 4 month check up and immunizations.

Vital Stats
13.95 lbs (25%) — aah, to be 4 months again!
27″ long (90%)
still 100% cute!

Shep’s ready to move to solid foods so tomorrow morning we’ll be trying rice cereal—yummers!

The Doc says we also have to get Shep checked for internal hemangiomas because he has more than 5 around his little bod (which tend to go away with time and are really not much to worry about) he is at a higher risk of developing them internally (no good!). So we’ll be bundling up again Monday morning for ultrasounds of his head and abdomen at Childrens’ West.

All in all it was a good check up. Shepard is strong and happy and growing and has great lung capacity…as evidenced by extreme howling during his four shots! Of this, we took no pictures, but you can check out our recent visit to the Como Conservatory over —-> under Flickr.

Lights, please! December 28, 2008

Christmas Eve began with a visit to Hudson to see G & G Cox. Shepard was in a very talkative mood–lots of “la’s” and “yay’s” and little squeels. He hung out a lot on the floor and got a kick out of his new Bumbo seat that helps him sit up. Christmas day was round 2…this time with G & Noonie Slatter, and the hounds. Shep was feeling Christmas in his new Santa hat (that Grandma Noonie actually bought for Colin, not recognizing Colin had grown beyond the 12-24 mos size!)

Kids bring spectacular light to the holidays. We are so blessed to have shared this holy season with our new little guy. Shep’s first Christmas was a complete joy thanks to his Bumbo, a new giant stuffed bear and the love of soooo many people willing to be utter fools just to make him smile and laugh! Hope your celebrations were festive, merry & bright.

later on Christmas Eve we caught up with the cousins...all the girls dressed as their dolls...it's a good thing we had a boy just to give Oskar a little solidarity!

This is Shep’s geo-bug, traveling now to South Dakota and other “fun” places thanks to Grandpa Slatter.
